FROM MASTER CONTROL

The 6:00 PM county test will not interrupt your evening. Please disregard any programming you remember seeing in a different year.

The Halloween broadcast / 6 PM–11:13 PM

Blackridge, Pennsylvania Evening News

Local headlines with Walter Vale.

18:00:00 — The county test begins under the opening theme. Thirty-one seconds of picture are missing. Walter resumes on the same word. The studio clock is now thirty-one seconds behind the wall clock. He thanks the county for another successful test. See the test order.

Weather For Towns That No Longer Exist

Marian Coil tracks the fog below us.

Marian gives temperatures for Briar Glen, Saint Orin, and Lower Mercy. None appears on the current county map. Briar Glen is forecast to reach 68 degrees at a depth of 400 feet. Marian apologizes for the map’s poor printing.

Everybody Loves Raymond

Season 3, Episode 6

This listing is not an error in the reconstruction. The title, season, and episode number appear in the recovered 1987 switcher log. The series belongs to a later decade. No episode tape was present in the station. The county’s continuity test had begun pulling programs from future broadcast days into the open return channel. Staff logged the incoming picture as a routine syndicated feed. Read the engineering note.

Raymond Has Been Removed

Season ∅, Episode ⌁

The living-room set continues. A chair is empty. The other actors leave gaps in their dialogue for someone no longer in the picture. The laugh track answers those gaps. The engineer changes the title in the log, then writes: “Replacement successful. Audience remembers original.”

The Eleventh Lantern (Movie)

Horror / Happening Right Now · Viewer Discretion Won’t Help

Ten miners follow a seam below Blackridge. Far ahead, an eleventh headlamp turns toward them. The film’s original ending has them retreat without meeting its owner. Tonight, the camera follows the eleventh light up a staircase. At 8:41, a door seen in the film opens inside the station Annex. Open the film record.

The Weather Beneath Us

The disturbance will reach the surface by midnight.

The arrows on Marian’s map point upward. A bright circle passes beneath the streets. “Clear skies below the valley,” she says. The exterior camera shows a moon with the same markings as the circle on her map.

The Ten-Thirty Signal

If you can hear us, remain where you are.

The county asks residents to switch on one light per household. The tower receives 2,713 acknowledgments. Blackridge has fewer than a thousand houses. No one asks who supplied the remaining signals.

???

No description supplied.

A wide shot of an empty anchor desk. The teleprompter scrolls residents’ names, followed by the word PRESENT. Several names appear twice. At 11:11, the camera turns toward a window the studio does not have.

The Last Transmission

Goodnight Blackridge, we’ll see who’s here in the morning.

Walter delivers the sign-off. The broadcast carrier ends at exactly 11:13:00 PM. The station is officially silent. On the next minute of internal tape, a voice from the disconnected return line says, “All homes accounted for.” Read the last transmission.

Schedule transcribed from the master-control log. Anomalous titles are retained exactly as recorded. No television episodes are hosted here.

An unscheduled acquisition

THIS SHOW
HASN’T HAPPENED YET.

The Raymond entry is the first verifiable break in the station’s chronology. It did not arrive on a cassette. It arrived through the civil-defense return line, which was supposed to carry an acknowledgment tone.

The line was open to another time. By 7:30, it had begun editing what it received.
